Hรกifoss waterfall is a stunning waterfall in a narrow gorge and it stands at 122 meters (400 feet). Right next to it is another waterfall called Granni.
๐ If youโd like to visit here, I recommend a 4WD car because a decent chunk of the driving route is rough.
๐ฅพYou have the option of observing the waterfalls just from above or hiking to the bottom to get an even better view. Most people donโt do the latter.
๐ Good hiking boots with ankle support are a must, in my opinion, because there are rocky parts to the trail. Also, itโs a steep decline/incline for a short part of the trail.
๐๐Summer or early fall are great times to visit this waterfall, and itโs a 2-hour drive from Reykjavรญk.
โ Save this post so you know of an excellent hike to a waterfall that most people never experience.
