Iceland’s Most Delicious Holiday – Living in Iceland Vlog
The most delicious Icelandic holiday is tomorrow!! Bolludagur (bun day) is my fave day of the year here because bakeries all across the country bake thousands of cream buns in various flavors for people to eat.
😍A classic bolla (bun) is a pastry bun filled with cream and jam, and topped with chocolate glaze. However, over the years bakeries have invented amazing variations of these buns. Some of them are fantastic masterpieces that explode with flavor.
👩🏾🍳I went to four different bakeries to pick up vegan/plant-based cream buns and they are below. I wanted to go to more but I only had a limited amount of time and space in my stomach. After sampling 12 cream buns, I can say that I’ve gotten my fill of bollur for the year. 😂

⭐️ Plantan kaffihús
❤️ GK Bakarí and Passion Reykjavik had my favorite bollur this year.
👌🏾This is a must-try food in Iceland if you are visiting the weekend or Monday before Lent in Iceland because they are unavailable any other time of year.
