Whether you choose to go as a Japan day trip or spend the night like I did Nikko will bring you serenity and stillness. My only regret on my first trip to Japan is not spending more time in this charming city. It's cozy, calm and enchanting with its shrines, waterfalls and kind locals. Although it rained, the mist added to the aura and made the meaningful moments so much more memorable.
