Why You Have to Visit Sintra when you come to Portugal | The perfect day trip from Lisbon!
Hi Everyone! I'm so glad you're here! Join us this week as we explore the beautiful city we are living in with Boundless Life for 3 months, Sintra, Portugal.
Known for it's magical castles and palaces, we decided visiting Pena Palace with our baby daughter to celebrate her first birthday was the perfect way to spend the day!
If you're also thinking about visiting Pena Palace with a child under 7, I highly recommend taking a taxi up to the palace as TukTuks are not able to take you up to the palace if you have children younger than 7 years old.
If you're traveling from Lisbon to Sintra, you can easily catch the train from Rossio or Oriente train station for less than 3 euros there and back. You can also purchase a 24 hour ticket for 12 Euros as well.
For all of our palace and castle tours we got our tickets through Get Your Guide which makes it so easy to get your tickets ahead of time which is essential for Pena palace as you'll have a timed entry ticket.
