White Guy Trashes Uganda….And ThIS HAPPENS!

The host, Osha Duke Jackson, addresses a clip from a vlogger named Luke Deont, who called a part of Uganda "probably the biggest shithole I've ever been to" while filming people begging for money.
The host shares the comments section of the original video, highlighting the immediate and intense backlash from Ugandans. Commenters expressed anger, with some demanding the man be arrested for his "super insensitive" remarks, while others pointed out that every country, including the USA, has poor areas or "ghetto places."
Several people, including other white people, defended Uganda, describing the country as having "lovely people, good food, amazing nature," and suggesting the vlogger intentionally sought out a slum to film for clicks.
The core argument of the video is that this is a harmful trend among European travel content creators: intentionally filming only the poverty, slums, and poor children of Africa to "monetize somebody's poverty," while ignoring the beautiful nature, great service, fine dining, and urban developments found in a city like Kampala. The host states that he is frustrated by the systemic corruption and "gatekeeping" on the continent, not by the poor people who are victims of it. He concludes by criticizing those who condemn black Americans for sharing their truths about their experience in Africa, but remain silent when white vloggers openly disrespect and "make fun of how they live."
