Valentine’s Day Isn’t About Love Anymore (Social Media Ruined It)

Valentine’s Day used to be about love, intention, and connection — not performance.
Social media has completely changed how we experience this holiday, turning it into a comparison game where someone else’s relationship highlight reel suddenly makes your own feel “not good enough.”

Now it’s not about what you received or how you were loved — it’s about whether it was big enough, public enough, expensive enough, or viral enough.
The internet has convinced people that if it doesn’t look like what you saw online, then it’s lacking — even when it’s genuine, thoughtful, and real.

In this video, I talk about how social media has ruined Valentine’s Day by pushing unrealistic expectations, constant comparison, and the dangerous idea that “if it’s good enough for you, it still might not be good enough.”

Love doesn’t need an audience.
And not everything meaningful needs to be posted.

Let’s talk about it.
