Primary video source travelling through Turkey Istanbul. I usually travel solo but life has got me out with others and im starting to enjoy it more than I thought. This trip was very culturally eye opening I would highly recommend anyone to visit, as a black British traveller I would say pack your headscarf and be ready for the looks as there were not many black people there but they didn't make you feel uncomfortable and no one bothers you. I got treated so nicely and had a few positive comments which was reassuring. Night time is safe the taxi drivers are a bit cheeky they charge you more so be ready to haggle. Don't be afraid to get the tram and the bus and just use the public transportation there are alot of stations you can get a travel card. Not everyone speaks english but they try, loads of places have wifi but you have to put in your mobile number to receive the SMS.
