TRAVELING WHILE BLACK From KENYA To ISTANBUL Discovering FREEDOM
Who would have thought? That we, two Black Americans, we'd be traveling to so many wonderful places across the globe. Living in Africa, the realization had come to us that it is truly the Gateway to the World. In the midst of the enjoyment of experiencing these places, we were able to confirm the notion and belief that we, as Black Americans, or Black people in general, have not only the privilege, yet also the right to explore the world.
The FREEDOM of KNOWING that BLACK PEOPLE ARE GLOBAL is a feeling that is indescribable; traveling from KENYA to a place as far-removed as ISTANBUL and realizing that we, as Black people are and/or can go any and everywhere. This trip wasn't just about sightseeing: it proved to be an experience with a deep liberating sense of knowing our people are global. Not to mention this exploration in Istanbul allow for us to be on two continents in the same day. Watch as we explore Istanbul on this Day 3 of our visit as we traverse through the waters and streets of Istanbul.
