If you ever want the chance to enjoy an Icelandic hot pool to yourself, here are a few tips:
⭐️ Go during the low season. Fall (Late September & October) and Spring (April -May) are usually when fewer people visit Iceland, so your chances of having few or none in the hot pool with you are there.
⭐️ If you have sunlight, arrive really early in the morning or late at night.
⭐️ Pick hot pools that are not as well known or take a bit more driving off the main road (like road 1) to get to.
⚠️This mainly applies to hot pools and not regular swimming pools in towns.
✅ Save this post so you know when you can potentially enjoy an Icelandic hot pool to yourself.
For those wondering, this is Guðrúnarlaug in West Iceland. I visited in May and it was lovely.
