What Cape Verde is Really like-A day with locals
Today I decided to explore the real Praia, Cape Verde — the side most tourists never get to see. I linked up with a friend and started my day in downtown Praia, walking through the busy streets, talking to locals, and soaking in the everyday life of the city.
From there, we visited one of the main local markets where Cape Verdeans buy their fresh veggies, fruits, fish, and cooked meals. The energy was raw, authentic, and full of culture. Along the way, I met a beautiful Cape Verdean young lady who shared a bit about life on the island and what makes this country so unique.
After exploring the neighborhood, we made our way to the beach to relax and try some local food while watching the waves. It was the perfect way to end a full day in Praia.
