To escalate matters, Trump announced on his social media pages that he is Banning South Africa from the next G20 summit in 2026, which will be held in Miami.
President Cyril Ramaphosa replied to this unfortunate announcement, by saying South Africa will not tolerate the smear campaign by the Trump administration, and they will attend the summit because the US does not have the power nor authority to block any nation from attending the G20 Summit.
