I always travel with a supplemental lock like Addalock. But the truth is Addalock doesn’t fit in every single door, but this Lewis and Clark portable travel door alarm works with every door that closes.
You just slide the twin blades together and slide them into the crack between the door and the door frame and then loop the cord around the door handle if someone opens the door, the alarm is super loud.
In my recent trip on the African Continent I slept in a lot of small boutique hotels and a couple had doors that did not appear super secure to me so this lock gave me a layer of added peace of mind. I also use a door stop with it.
