Riyad Mahrez's mother, Halima paid for his €160 train ticket on his way to have a trial with a French 4th division club in 2009.
She was with him when he joined Man City in 2018.
He said "I told my mom, don't worry, I'll pay you back. I will make it. Today I've paid her back".
