We're creating Your Vacation Stylistโa travel fashion show exploring identity, culture, and style through the lens of Black travel. In Part 2, professional stylist Carmen (@charmedbycarmen) gave us homework: dive into our closets and upload pieces to her styling portal. What we found? CHAOS.
This is Part 2 of our pre-production series documenting the creation of our fashion travel show, Your Vacation Stylist.
The Assignment: Pick items from our closets that represent our style, our comfort zones, and pieces we love (or think we love). Upload them to Carmen's portal so she can analyze our wardrobe and start building our Amsterdam looks.
The Reality: We haven't really shopped in years. Our closets are... a journey. Some gems. Some "why do I still have this?" moments. A lot of laughs.
This is the raw, real process of working with a professional stylistโand it starts with honesty about what's actually hanging in our closet.
