I came to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines with zero plans.
No itinerary. No tourist checklist. No clue what I was going to eat, see, or do.
So I decided to do something different… I let the locals guide me every step of the way.
What followed was one of the best travel days I’ve had in a long time — from meeting new friends, trying traditional Vincentian food like mudongo and souse, exploring the famous Owia Salt Pond, visiting the village of Fancy, learning local traditions, and experiencing the real culture of the island.
