Aldís Amah Hamilton has made her mark on screen in shows like The Valhalla Murders, Netflix’s Katla, and the hit Icelandic series Black Sands, which she also co-created. She’s also lent her voice to major video games like Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II and Echoes of the End.

But Aldís isn’t just known for her acting—she made history in 2019 as the first woman of color to embody the Fjallkonan, Iceland’s national symbol on Independence Day. Beyond her work in film and theater, she’s also the chair of the Vegan Association of Iceland, passionately advocating for plant-based living.
