How to Say “I Have a Cold” in Spanish

Taking a trip to Spain during flu season? Save this.

“Estar Constipado/a” is a common false cognate in European Spanish. What sounds like “I’m constipated” actually means “I have a cold/I’m congested.”

In Latin America, you’ll more likely hear “estoy resfridao/a.”

(I know I haven’t posted a Spanish language video in a minute 😅 my bad but I’m headed to Colombia soon and will hopefully have more coming!)
