For example, 2 years ago I was trying to get to Guatemala. The cheapest flight I saw was for $450 instead I found a flight to Costa Rica for $95, where I stayed for 3 days. Then bought a flight for $61 to Guatemala. Saving me almost $300 and allowing me to see another country.
