Hotel Review: The Seyyida Hotel & Spa, Stone Town Zanzibar
Just wrapped up a stay at The Seyyida Hotel & Spa, and here's the lowdown! π¨βοΈ
π What I Liked:
1οΈβ£ Fantastic Natural Light: The hotel room was bathed in wonderful natural light, making every moment inside feel refreshing.
2οΈβ£ Lovely Street View: Waking up to a charming view of the bustling street below added a unique touch to my stay.
3οΈβ£ Mosquito Nets & AC Bliss: Essential in Tanzania, the room had mosquito nets, and the AC worked like a charm, cooling down to a rare 16 degrees Celsius.
4οΈβ£ Nightly Turn-Down Service: Kudos to the staff for their nightly visits to turn down the bed and keep the bugs at bay.
π What I Didn't Like:
1οΈβ£ Suitcase Woes: Missing a suitcase rack in the room meant a bit of a balancing act on a small table or chair. Not ideal for those who avoid placing luggage on the floor.
2οΈβ£ Persistent Bugs: Despite efforts, a few bugs managed to find their way in, which was a downside for me.
3οΈβ£ Mixed Vibes from Lobby Staff: Unfortunately, the lobby staff didn't leave the best impression. Not super friendly or helpful, especially when I requested a couple of extra hours for a late check-out. Thumbs down on that front.
πΏ Beautiful Grounds: On a positive note, the hotel grounds are stunning, offering a serene escape.
π½οΈ Nice Restaurant Experience: The on-site restaurant served up some tasty dishes, contributing to a pleasant overall experience.
Overall Rating: βββ
Despite some hiccups, The Seyyida Hotel & Spa has its charms. If you can overlook a few bumps in the road, it's a decent choice for your Stone Town stay!
