DIVERSITY IN AFRICA || AFRO-ARABS, COLORISM, CHILDREN OF THE DIASPORA, IDENTITY ISSUES
Africa is so diverse and that is something people are yet to grasp. This video aims to highlight the diversity of Africa and the diversity in beauty. Being children of the diaspora has evidently caused a crisis for many young people and I wanted this video to simultaneously highlight this but also the blessing it is to be a child of the diaspora. We are all so proud of our diverse cultural backgrounds and influences, but this pride has not always existed, we’ve had to overcome hate in many forms to reach it. This video has not covered even a quarter of the issues and benefits that come with being children in the diaspora. But, it is a step forward and I hope you enjoy the discussion x
Clarification: Alyaa is from a Northern state in Sudan. Sudan and South Sudan are two completely different countries.
