Barranquilla Colombia Carnival is the second largest carnival in the world second to Brazil. The Carnival starts on the Saturday before Ash Wednesday with the Battle of the Flowers (La Batalla de Flores), which is considered one of the main activities. During the Carnival, the Colombian People celebrate in Barranquilla street forming huge block parties where Baila La Calle is one of their biggest events in the city.
