Antigua and Barbuda’s Prime Minister Gaston Browne has made it clear:
No foreign military bases. No U.S. installations. No exceptions.
As the Commander of U.S. Southern Command, Admiral Alvin Holsey, tours the Eastern Caribbean, Browne reaffirms Antigua’s independence — even as Grenada considers a U.S. proposal to install a temporary radar system.
Is the Caribbean being pulled into Washington’s security orbit? Or are small island nations taking back control of their sovereignty?
