A Time of Remembrance: Celebrating Life on Day of the Dead

November 1 marks the first day of Día de los Muertos — the Day of the Dead, a beautiful two-day celebration of life, death, and memory.

Here in Mexico, I’ve learned that death isn’t something to fear — it’s something to respect, honor, and celebrate. It’s a time to remember those we’ve loved and lost, and to welcome their spirits back with joy and gratitude.

This year, as another group of women joins me to experience this sacred celebration, I’m remembering my best friend Dominique, who left this world on December 7, 2023. Our last trip together was her visit to celebrate the Day of the Dead with me here in Mexico. She’s been with me in spirit ever since.

Dominique was the best friend I’ve ever had, and I miss her every day. Her memory is truly a blessing.
May those you’ve loved and lost live in your memory as a blessing too. 💛💐

If you’ve ever experienced loss, I hope this video reminds you that remembrance can be both healing and joyful.
