In Norwegian culture, nobody will sit next to you on the bus unless they absolutely HAVE to! Even if the bus is packed, I’ve still seen people stand instead of sit directly next to someone else. I was SHOCKED this woman came and sat next to me. Especially when there were sooo many seats open! I’m becoming Norwegian 😅 I’ve lived in New York City! 🤦🏾♂️😂 but I was so stressed out.
