A belated Juneteenth reminder.
Itβs been 400+ years.
Black Americans are Americans πΊπΈ
But for some reason even, after generations of being here, some still see Black Americans as perpetual foreigners in their own home, the country they built, very literally, on their backs.
When I helped with The 1619 Project digital publication and off platform strategy, I learned so much more about just how much Black Americans gave to the founding of this democracy and country at large. If you havenβt read it yet, I encourage you to.
I hope you had a happy and meaningful Juneteenth β€οΈ
